The Hobbit in HQ write by J. R. R. Tolkien and illustrated by David Wenzel tell the history of Bilbo Baggins before the events of The Lord of the Ring. This book is beautifully illustrated and has a beautiful finish. But this book tell just a brief history of the Hobbit, doesn’t tell the whole history found in the normal editions. But nevertheless, this edition is very true to the original history.
The unique difference observable in this book is that the illustration of the main characters is many different of the movies of The Hobbit. Gandalf, the dwarves and the dragon Smaug presentation a huge difference in this book compared with characters portrayed in the film, losing their austere and sometimes, shady personality (making more meaning, whereas J. R. R. Tolkien wrote this book for their children). A negative point is this edition is that has very few illustrations of the death of the dragon Smaug and of the battle of five arms.
This book is recommended for all people who love The Lord of the Ring and stories about the Middle-Earth (the universe created by Tolkien), besides being a terrific edition for collectors.
